  • Work with our youth, trusted adults, families, volunteers, and staff to create accountable and inclusive spaces.

Mission Statement:

The mission of the 4-H DEIA Committee is to foster a diverse, equitable, inclusive, and accessible environment within our 4-H community. Our committee's objectives are:

Diversity: To actively promote and celebrate diversity by recognizing and valuing the unique backgrounds, experiences, and perspectives of our members, ensuring that 4-H is accessible and welcoming to all.

Equity: To identify and address systemic barriers that may limit the participation and opportunities of underrepresented individuals and communities within 4-H, striving for fairness and justice in all aspects of our programs.

Inclusion: To create a culture of inclusivity where every member feels a sense of belonging and is encouraged to actively participate and contribute, fostering a supportive and respectful community.

Accessibility: To remove physical, digital, and attitudinal barriers that may hinder the involvement of individuals with disabilities, ensuring that our programs and resources are accessible to all.

Education and Advocacy: To provide ongoing education and training for 4-H members, volunteers, and stakeholders on DEIA topics, promoting awareness and understanding. Additionally, to advocate for DEIA principles within our 4-H organization and the broader community.

Collaboration: To collaborate with other 4-H committees, community organizations, and partners to further our DEIA goals and initiatives.

Through our commitment to diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility, we aim to empower every young person in 4-H to reach their full potential, develop leadership skills, and contribute positively to their communities.
